Thank you!
It’s the time of year that I find the opportunity to say thank you to everyone in my life for all of their support, including you! This year has brought me so many wonderful chances at speaking engagements to share the ins and outs of what’s going on in the world of marketing and data analytics. At 20Degrees Media, we’ve been working on a number of projects ourselves this last quarter that we couldn’t be more excited to announce in 2025. All of us here are wishing you a healthy December, surrounded by loved ones and many cups of hot chocolate!
With this year coming to a close, there’s no better time to start looking ahead and brainstorming on how we can start off next year on the right foot! One way to get the ball rolling is by figuring out and defining your goals, and when it comes to that, we like to recommend one of our favorite resources, Michael Hyatt’s Your Best Year Ever event.
Each year, Hyatt holds a virtual event where he helps attendees learn how they can set achievable goals and follow through on them to make signifigant shifts in their lives. The event takes place over two days, featuring engaging seminars, interactive sessions, and Q&A portions where you can get the answers you need for your unique goals. We love this event as it’s not just for business owners, but for anyone who needs help taking that first step towards change! Learn more and book you tickets for the event here.
If you can’t make the event itself, then consider checking out his book, Your Best Year Ever: A 5-Step Plan For Achieving Your Most Important Goals
Your Customers In the New Year
If you’ve been tuning in with our recent blogposts, then you may have seen us mention this topic before, but now that we’re finally in December, let’s go a little more in depth over what you should be promoting! At its core, it all comes down to R&R.
The last few years, with holiday burnout only becoming more prevalent, people have been prioritizing their R&R with greater importance, looking forward to the month of January with hopes to finally catch their breath. One way you can stand out in your audience’s minds is this: how can you bring this relaxation to them? Sure, you can’t take everything off their plate, but what’s a small gesture you can do to remind them that they’re appreciated, and that you have their backs?
Let’s look at some examples:
Restaurants: People have been running around for months on end and might not have as much spending money to eat out with their families. Show them some appreciation by putting on a weekly family night throughout the month of January with discounted items on the menu! Maybe even include a to-go option for those who just want to pick up their food and relax at home with their loved ones.
Coffee Shop: After the chaos of the holiday season, who wouldn’t want a tranquil cafe to finally catch their breath? Make some posts showing off that cozy chair in the corner, your steaming coffee, and the quiet space you cultivate for all your guests to relax. Show some extra love by including a discount for locals or repeat customers!
Spa: It’s not uncommon to feel under the weather after the holidays, so let your audience know they deserve to treat themselves after all their hard work. How can your services help them take a load off, get rid of that sluggish feeling, and leave them feeling replenished? Throw a discount their way to encourage them to come in, and show just how much they needed this.
No matter what field you’re in, think of how what you provide can be a breath of relief for your audience in a time where they need it most. Not only is it a way to spread some good will, but it’s an excellent method for strengthening your bonds with your current customers, and forging new ones all together. Kick off 2025 the right way by showing your audience what kind of brand you are, where your values lie, and how much appreciation you have for them!
